A desperate plot had been hatched to blow up the King and his Parliament. This is the Gunpowder Plot. The impact of this historic event can be seen even today. But what about its unseen influence? What about the ghosts of the Gunpowder Plot? The English Midlands played an important part in the plot. Today, the unseen presences of the conspirators have been seen. Their ghosts lurk in the area today! To mark the 400th anniversary of the plot, Parasearch members Anne Bradford and David Taylor will examine reports of ghosts associated with the plot in an evening lecture illustrated with slides. The Speakers:

David Taylor is founder and Chairman of Parasearch. David has spent countless nights in a variety of haunted locations around the country. He is co-author (with Anne Bradford) of "Haunted Holidays", as well as numerous articles on parapsychology, folklore and history. David has lectured widely on these subjects, including the National Trust and the Architecture Centre. Along with other members of Parasearch, David has appeared on national TV and radio, and in the national press on all aspects of parapsychology.

Anne Bradford is a former school teacher, and a well known author of books on ghosts and history, particularly relating to the Midlands. Many people will know her for such books as "Haunted Worcestershire", "Unquiet Spirits of Worcestershire", "Haunted Holidays" and "Ghosts, Murders and Scandals of Worcestershire". Anne has lectured widely on the subject of ghosts and has featured on many radio programmes.
